Multidisciplinary Clinic
The Multidisciplinary Clinic is a direct response to one of the largest service gaps existing today for people with developmental disabilities: adequate healthcare. Oak-Leyden began the Multidisciplinary Clinic to ensure that participants receive the appropriate attention to their health and wellness needs. For most people with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness, accessing healthcare professionals, particularly specialists, is very difficult.
The Multidisciplinary Clinic coordinates a number of traditional and difficult to access services such as behavioral therapy, dental, neurology, psychiatry, vision and many more. Participants receive comprehensive health services in an environment that respects their unique and complex physical and behavioral health needs. The Clinic coordinates healthcare services of specialists including— Audiologists, Behavior Specialists, Clinical Psychologists, Dieticians, General Physicians, Neurologists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychotherapists, and others. The MDC received the rarely-given exemplary designation by CARF.
