Knock off work a few minutes early next Tuesday and join your friends from Oak Leyden at the greatest Irish bar ever, O'Sullivan's Public House in beautiful Forest Park, Illinois! Our new podcast, The Intersection, is about to release our TENTH episode! Unbelievable. We've had some amazing guests, with some incredible stories to tell and wisdom to share.
We launch our year-long celebration of our 70^th Anniversary at our Mighty Oak event, which is being held on Thursday, April 23rd. Great food, great drinks, great friends and a great legacy, all for only $150 a person! (Oh, and a GREAT BAND, as Chicago's greatest 80's cover band, Sixteen Candles, is going to blow the roof off of the Riverside Golf Club.) Learn about our Spring into Service event, a wonderful opportunity for groups of volunteers to beautify the assisted living residential sites that are home to our adult residents. Great chance to roll up your sleeves for a great cause on Saturday, May 16th.
Save this Date: Wednesday, July 15th, which is the 8^th Annual Bankers Charity Golf Classic for Oak Leyden. Our friends at Willing to Hunt, a boutique executive search firm, are once again hosting this event at one of the best courses in the Chicago area, Ruffled Feathers in Lemont. More details coming soon.
This one is VERY exciting...preparing for the launch of the Oak Leyden Junior Board. We're excited to invite individuals under 40 with a strong interest in socializing over a beer (or four) to raise awareness and support for our mission. Junior Boards are a great way for young careerists to build their network and support their community without any fundraising minimums or governance obligations. Just fun and philanthropy. STAY TUNED!
